The world of Formula 1 is quickly becoming a fertile investment sanctuary. That’s right. With the stock of the sport skyrocketing, the commercial lucrativeness of the sport has doubled alongside the sporting spectacle it already was. And with that, in came the influx of Hollywood royalty. Brad Pitt was the first to pull the trigger as he dived deep into an F1-inspired movie. More recently, however, the Deadpool star, Ryan Reynolds, bit the F1 bullet with Alpine.
Reynolds recently became a part of a consortium that bought a 24% stake in the Enstone-based team for a whopping $218 million deal. That being said, as it turns out, though Reynolds has arguably been part of one of the biggest acquisitions in F1 history, he actually sent a sum total of $0 dollars in the end!

It may sound a tad bit weird, but in reality, the Canadian superstar didn’t actually spend a single penny out of his own pocket. In reality, through his sharp business acumen and pure stardom, he put himself in a position to be part of this historic deal.
According to Yahoo Finance, “While Reynolds may not necessarily have used his own funds for this deal, he has amassed significant wealth through his investments in startups and diverse business ventures. He is renowned for his willingness to take calculated risks on companies he believes in, a strategy that has yielded impressive financial gains.”
And Alpine is $27,000,000 squarer in the end! The report continued, “The cash injection has already yielded results, as Alpine recently paid off a $27 million loan on its headquarters in Oxfordshire, England.”
Well, paying a hefty mortgage isn’t the only upside of this latest deal.

Alpine is now a full-fledged French team. With an all-French lineup in the shape of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, they would surely be wanting to re-rerun the glory days of old as they conquered the deadly turbo-era of the sport in the 80s. And with some fresh cash in the bank, Alpine has the right plan to do so.
The coming double-header will also see aggressive development from Alpine according to team boss Otmar Szafnauer. He was quoted as saying, “Our upgrades have worked this year and there’s another significant one coming before the break. There’s an upgrade in Hungary but not that big. Then there’s a floor in Spa. So putting all that together, and it’s all additive, I think we should go well,” by Motorsport.com.
