The 2022 Formula One season is all set to welcome a new entrant in the form of the Miami Grand Prix. The F1 circuit runs around the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Hurricanes and the Dolphins, and also along the lavish streets of Miami.

Hence, this particular Grand Prix event, scheduled in May this year, is certainly going to be a sight to behold for the fans. And being one of the biggest tourist destinations in the United States, the race is also very much likely to attract a lot of spectators, including an abundant number of Hollywood celebrities.

However, will Miami remain the only extravagant US city to host an F1 race? Well, no! Quite interestingly, there is another big announcement scheduled in the coming months from Liberty Media.

Along with The Magic City, the sport is desperate to add another famous American tourist spot to the racing calendar by as early as next year.

Another US city set to host F1 race

Las Vegas is one of the American cities that has been on F1’s radar for quite a few years now. And in 2021, a group of officials from Sin City finally made the move by initiating talks with Formula One at the United States Grand Prix. The so-called officials further spectated the race in Austin to understand the demands of hosting an F1 event.

Eventually, there were persistent developments in the talks. And now, over two months later, reports have begun to emerge that the deal is almost done. What’s more, an official announcement could happen around mid-2022, possibly during the summer break.

The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix will likely take place as early as 2023 and both parties are pushing for it. However, if deemed impossible amid the active pandemic, the event will be pushed to 2024 but, by the looks of it, the race will not be delayed any further than 2024.

As of now, the final details are being discussed which should come to an end in the coming weeks, and from thereon, the waiting game will commence for the fans. As far as we know, the race will take place under the lights in the night, much like Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
