Lewis Hamilton is not someone who has been beaten by a teammate a lot in his 16-year-long career. But as the dark clouds began setting on Hamilton, George Russell arrived at Mercedes beating the 7x champion in his first season. But while seniority never came into play, Russell put forth an entitled demand last weekend, which reminded us of the time Hamilton was called a whiner for being beaten by his teammate.

George Russell, during the Monaco weekend, was given a 5-second penalty for which he came up with an idea that made him seem like an entitled kid. He asked the team to exercise team orders which will allow him to pass Hamilton running ahead of him, and on occasions even attack Ocon. While his team didn’t take this up with Hamilton, the 7x champion’s similar past has come to our notice.

Weeks ago, Hamilton was called a whiner by F1 insider, Joan Villadelprat. As quoted by Mirror, he said, “Hamilton is fed up and, if he doesn’t win, he’s like a spoiled little boy. When you have a [teammate] who is faster than you, it is normal to be quiet and put your head under your wing.”

Toto said, “But we really need to be careful, we need to go to Barcelona and collect more data. It’s a new baseline. I don’t expect us to be clearing Aston Martin and Ferrari [there]. It is more about understanding what does this car do now, how to set it up and we are really good at grinding away.”
