There’s a saying that goes like this, ‘Everyone is a Sebastian Vettel fan. Even if they say they’re not, they are Vettel fans,’ and the fans have absolutely agreed to it after his latest on-stage performance. The recently concluded Autosport award show saw another version of the German as he managed to pull out a fascinating performance despite being short of tequila shots.

From impersonating Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz to joking about buying his sidepod back, the man from Germany was hilarious on stage. The fans absolutely loved every minute he was there, standing, with a mic in his hand with Natalie Pinkham.
Vettel was present at the Autosport show to receive the lifetime achievement award, the Gregor Grant Award. The recently retired driver’s achievements were acknowledged at the Grosvenor House on Sunday. Vettel is known only known for his on-track records, but also for off-track activism.

Fans reacted as they saw Sebastian Vettel’s funny side
As Vettel went up on the stage, he began with a smile. Soon after, he giggled and bantered, “Who is not here? Carlos Sainz from Ferrari? You know Carlos Sainz from Ferrari? Can you imagine he would be on the stage next to me now? I mean, he is so much better looking than me.”

“No, I don’t think it works like this, it’s not that funny. I didn’t have much to drink, so maybe I need to,” joked the former Ferrari driver. “I’m trying to buy my sidepod back. Can you imagine the team didn’t tell me that they’re offering my sidepod for an auction, so I’m trying to buy it back,” concluded the former Red Bull star.

Sebastian Vettel bid farewell to the sport after spending over 16 years. A career that saw him take part in 300 races, win 53 Grand Prix, take home four championships, and give numerous moments to be remembered for.
