“I miss her every day,” said Lewis Hamilton, talking about ex-confidante Angela Cullen who was no more by his side. On many occasions, the 7x champ has been observed missing that one person who was always by his side, especially in dire times like these. Things at Mercedes don’t seem to be getting any better, but amid all of this, Angela chose to make her motor sporting return with another.

Lewis Hamilton had a horrible qualifying session at Albert Park today. However, when the reporters asked him about it, he said he was “used to it”. Highlighting how the struggle in his machine continues to get worse and teammate George Russell continues to extract more, Hamilton gave a rather gloomy update on how things are at the moment. But what is even more gloomy than the horrible condition at Toto Wolff’s team is that one person Hamilton trusted the most has picked another driver’s pit wall to reside at.

Angela Cullen was seen on the pit wall of IndyCar driver Marcus Ericsson. And this definitely wasn’t a comeback the world was expecting, as she had supposedly taken time off to focus on herself and on new adventures. Nobody knew if the new adventures came in a neighboring format of motor sporting.

And while this may seem unsettling to Lewis, the most unsettling bit for him is his car, a machine he continues to struggle in.

In 2022, Russell outperformed Hamilton and became one of those rare teammates who could beat the great Lewis Hamilton. However, in 2023, Lewis managed to score the most points for the team but remained shy of a victory. And now, in 2024, in a very unexpected turn of events, it seems Lewis has conceded to his teammate.

Lewis Hamilton, during the post-Quali interview, said, “I don’t know if I’m dealing with it that great, less consistent than George. George is doing a better job with our car, three qualifying in a row that he’s out-qualified me and he seems to get on along better than I do, so… yeah. Just trying to keep my head above water and continue to, realizing that it could be way worse.”
