Max Verstappen will break past Ayrton Senna in the number of F1 wins. Verstappen has 40 F1 wins and is equal to Ayrton Senna and will surpass the legend if he wins the Canadian GP. Lewis Hamilton suggested how Max Verstappen is a super-talented driver and has already won loads in his career. Already on the verge of breaking Senna’s record, it is very much possible that Verstappen will break Lewis Hamilton’s 103-win record with many years of his career still ahead of him.

Nevertheless, Max Verstappen’s reaction toward the Ayrton Senna comparison was super humble. The Dutchman advised that he never really looks or focuses on such numbers. According to total-motorsport.com, Max Verstappen said, “I never really look at the number. People always have different kinds of careers, maybe some drivers, they get into a race-winning car sooner than others, nowadays we have more races than back in the day.”

After explaining how some drivers win more at an early stage and how there are comparatively more F1 races now than in the olden days, Verstappen broke his arrogant image and said, “When I was a little kid, I would have never imagined being in that list. So for me, it’s definitely an amazing achievement. But you can’t compare it.”

The championship leader’s comments regarding there not being a comparison between him and Senna definitely shattered the aggressive image that has been built over the years. Verstappen also responded to Hamilton’s comments regarding the Dutchman breaking the 103-win record.

With at least a decade of F1 racing available to him, one can be sure that Verstappen can break Lewis Hamilton’s 103-win record. However, Max Verstappen advised that the record is very hard to break as one needs a winning car for a long period. The Dutchman added that it’s not something that he focuses on.
