With 16 years in Formula 1, seven championships, and one of the highest-paid drivers on the grid and history, there is no measure of Lewis Hamilton’s wealth. The Brit is one of the richest drivers the sport has ever produced. Hamilton’s current net worth is at a whopping $285 million. However, a picture of Hamilton, as seen on Twitter, driving a 1995 Mercedes E60 slipped through the crack. The fact not everyone is talking about this picture is what makes it unique.

There is no doubt every car Hamilton drives is exquisite and expensive. The Brit has a massive fleet with various brands featuring in his car collection. Within these brands, Hamilton also has custom 1 of 1 cars in his fleet like the Pagani Zonda 760, made just for him. Not only the most expensive but also the fastest car in Hamilton’s collection is the LaFerrari Aperta. The open-top variant is the most expensive car Hamilton owns. With a top speed of 217 mph, the Aperta can go from 0 to 60 in 2.4 seconds. Talk about a rocket ship.

It certainly costs as much as well with the LaFerrari costing a whopping $11.3 million. Hamilton owns one of the 210 models ever produced of this rare gem. However, pleading his allegiance to the environment, Hamilton sold his fastest on-road car.

In doing his bit, Hamilton now only drives around in the Mercedes EQS SUV. Electric vehicles are slowly gaining popularity and sustainability is the way to go as we see F1 also making active efforts. Let’s just hope it doesn’t affect the racing factor of Formula 1.
