For Mick Schumacher and the entire Schumacher family, last week was a special one. The former Haas driver, who endured a lot during the past few months, got to lift a motorsport trophy after a long while. Along with some of the most experienced drivers, the 23-year-old took part in the Race of Champions in Sweden. Ultimately, after beating the top drivers, Mick reached the finale. The German eventually lost to two-time DTM champion Mattias Ekstrom, but he ended up winning him over.
This was the fourth time the Swede had won the ROC Champion of Champions title. Two out of these times, he defeated Mick Schumacher’s father and seven times F1 champion Michael Schumacher in the finals. The 44-year-old intends to continue his battle with the former Haas driver in the future after being impressed by the Schumacher DNA.

Following his most recent triumph, as per Crash.net, Ekstrom stated, “The Race of Champions has always meant a lot to me. It is very special to have four victories, and it is even more special to do so in Sweden.”
“Michael always appeared modest towards me, and I can see that Mick is also very modest. Mick is a huge talent and his time will come, so I’m looking forward to more fights in the future. I know it won’t be long before I’m beaten, but I wouldn’t have a problem with second against Mick.”
Despite the fact that he came in second and added a trophy to his cabinet, it probably didn’t give him more joy than to take his mother on a ride alongside him.
During the ROC tournament, Mick Schumacher had a special co-pilot
When Schumacher was vying for a trophy at the ROC, his mother Corinna was with him. And as the competition went on, the mother and son duo had the opportunity to go for a drive. So, in between bouts of competition, they took a few laps around the circuit for fun.

I first took her out onto the ice in the Porsche so that she could have this experience, then we also drove the rallycross car.”
