F1 drivers like to live their lives in style. But which one of them stands out without any competition? You guessed it right—it’s Lewis Hamilton, who has enjoyed all the colors away from the world of Formula 1. Be it music, fashion, or other sports, you name it, and he has done it. But he couldn’t have possibly achieved it all had he not had the backing that he currently has from Mercedes and Toto Wolff. They have supported the Briton in all of his ventures in every field.

We all know how much Lewis enjoys going on vacation to relax. And it’s common knowledge that he loves adventure sports, be it skiing, surfing, or skydiving, which he has done several times. So, one might expect Toto to be an uptight boss when it comes to the safety of his driver. You may also think the boss might not even allow his star driver to take such gigantic risks.

But, thankfully for Lewis, Toto Wolff isn’t what he appears to be in front of the camera. Asked if Toto becomes overprotective of him or not when he goes out for adventure, during a podcast, Lewis said, “No, I think there’s a trust that we have. They know and I know that I don’t ever want to be seeing someone else driving my car. I don’t ever want to be injured and not be here. However, life is so precious and it can be short.”

“You know, I’m not going to wait until I get to the end of my career to then go and do some of these fun things. You’ve got to strike a good balance in life where you’re able to enjoy yourself. And these are things that I enjoy. I don’t deprive myself of these,” he said while simultaneously making a point for striving for work-life balance.

Sharing the same trust that Hamilton talked about earlier, he said, “I’m actually not afraid. You remember there was that kid in school that could do everything and was good at it? That is Lewis Hamilton. I think whatever you give him, whether it’s a snowboard, a tennis ball, or penguins, he’s gonna be good at it. And that’s why I’m never worried.”
