The pair enjoyed their time on the craft that took them around the river Thames. Coulthard, a fellow Red Bull driver from Scotland, interviewed the reigning world champion about many things. From the Dutchman’s win in Abu Dhabi to discussing his rivalries with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, the driver spoke frankly.

Through the talks, there came a hilarious moment. The 24-year-old revealed how he doesn’t enjoy owning a boat but certainly appreciates his time on one, reminding him of his time back home. While Coulthard agreed, he announced, “I actually find it quite romantic”. Before we know it, within seconds, the driver was cuddling up to the Dutch Lion.

The driver again took the lead, only to lose his tire to a puncture and have a carbon piece attached to his RB-18, causing him to lose places.

Post-race, he commented, “I’d just gone into the lead because of Carlos’ ‘moment’ and then a few corners later, there was a piece of debris on the racing line. As soon as I arrived there [on the line], I could not drastically turn left or right, so I tried to hit it head on. Normally, it would just get pushed away, but this time it went in my floor and destroyed the whole left-hand side of my floor…”
