Formula One is a complex sport. The F1 cars are the fastest cars in the world and the series is the peak of motorsport. So every year the teams try to make a car that is both fast and within the regulations of the sport. So after they develop the car over the duration of the season, they get a chance to test the car.

In the Formula One Pre-season test, the teams get an idea of how fast their car is and where they stand in the pecking order. The Pre-season testing is usually done in Barcelona for six days before the first race of the season.

Why is the F1-Pre Season Testing Important?

As reported by Formula1.com, the test is important so that the teams can carry out the system checks that they have made during the development of the cars.

It is also important so that the teams can gather the data from the aerodynamics of the car. After they gather the data from the aerodynamics, they compare it to the figures from their wind tunnel simulations. This gives the teams an idea of whether they have gained or lost in terms of performance as compared to the previous season.
