It’s very rare to see real mentor-mentee relationships thrive in the cutthroat world of Formula 1. That being said, it’s no secret that Sebastian Vettel really looks out for Mick Schumacher. His father, Michael, was a hero to Vettel and did, in a way, look out for the 4x Champion when he’d just started out. Their relationship goes all the way back to when Vettel was karting! That’s why it doesn’t come as a surprise that Vettel has now returned the favor to Mick when his father actually cannot be here to do it for him.

It’s just been a month since Sebastian Vettel hung up his racing helmet in Formula 1. And as the old saying goes, you can take the man out of racing, but you cannot take the racing out of the man. The 4x Champion has now decided to make a sensational return to racing, and his teammate is going to be none other than Mick Schumacher himself! They will race at the Race of Champions in January next year.

One fan on Instagram commented, “You can’t keep a Schumacher and a Vettel from the ROC,” as Vettel and Mick’s father, Michael Schumacher, have teamed up together in the past to race at the event. Another fan speculated a future F1 driver market sensation. “Team Audi 2026.” All in all, fans were in a nostalgic mood.

“Yes, there come memories high earlier Seb and Michael. And now Seb and Mick.”
