Max Verstappen has been the poster boy of Red Bull ever since 2015 when he debuted in the sport with Toro Rosso. That being said, he quickly jumped ship to the Milton-Keynes-based main team. But now, one would expect him to have come to grips with British traditions after 7 years with the team. But that is not the case.

Red Bull’s Formula 1 factory is based out of England. And Verstappen arguably spends a lot of time there during the season. Given that Christmas is right around the corner, you’d think the 2x Champion would celebrate it the English way with the entire team, right?

On a feature for JOE, Verstappen was explained what a proper British Christmas dinner would look like. “British Christmas dinner would have turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, pigs in blankets, which is a small sausage like a chipolata, wrapped in bacon.”

With a deadpan expression on his face, Verstappen uttered, “I’m happy I’m not celebrating it in England then.”

Earlier in the video, he was also heard saying, “I am not a big fan of turkey, actually.”

British fans and even Lewis Hamilton, for that matter, can actually forgive Verstappen for his choice of words, though. As it turns out, the Dutch lion isn’t exactly an expert when it comes to food.

Max Verstappen reveals the ONLY thing he can cook

Max Verstappen has an unparalleled skill set when it comes to Formula 1 racing. That being said, when it comes to the kitchen, Verstappen’s probably worse than your average Joe. In a G-Star Raw interview, Verstappen was quizzed about whether he could actually cook anything.

He said, “An egg, yes. An omelet. A really good one.” In fairness, though, he did go on to explain the various ways in which he likes to make it. But for the 2x Champion, it would appear that he couldn’t be bothered with the banality of cooking.

“But you know what? It takes half an hour to prepare. You go to the supermarket, then you make it. You’re done eating in five minutes and you don’t have to clean up. I can’t be bothered.”
