However, Dutch driver, Tim Coronel, has his money on his compatriot and further states what will be the end of Hamilton.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen currently holds the top spot in the championship, with 156 points to his name. While Britain’s Knight is down in second with 138 points.

As quoted from RacingNews365, Coronel said, “I understand that Max only thinks of one thing and that is getting the most out of that car and scoring.”

Being asked who sees lifting the championship at the end of the season, he replied, “If Max wins at Silverstone then Hamilton is broken. Then it’s done.”

Lewis needs to find his winning mojo as soon as possible

The 7-time world champion has not a won race since Monaco, giving the window Verstappen needed to claim first place in the driver standings. Now he prepares himself for round two in Austria, where last weekend he was dominated by the Red Bull prodigy.

Hamilton knows he has to find the edge over his arch-rival, to have a shot back at regaining his spot in the title race. For now, he is focused on getting the most out of the practice session scheduled for today.

More importantly, the Knight knows he needs to extract the most out of the W12 and give a much-needed win to this Brackley-based team, as they too are fighting against Red Bull in the Constructors’ Championship.

A win this weekend will give Hamilton the confidence he needs for his home race at Silverstone. If he fails to do so, Hamilton will go into the British Grand Prix on the backfoot, and Coronel’s prediction of him losing to Verstappen might come true.
