

Every F1 fan is eagerly waiting for the new livery launch for the Mercedes AMG team. The world champions had announced that they would unveil their new livery in the presence of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell on February 18. The team recently teased that they might return to their silver roots.
At Russell’s seat fitting, the fans spotted a touch of silver on the livery. This sent fans on social media into overdrive on the return of silver instead of black livery.
“W13 seat fit. Complete. ☑️ Video coming soon,” wrote the Mercedes AMG team. The fans reacted to a hint of silver on the livery on Twitter.

Mercedes driver George Russell expects the team to bounce back in 2022
The new Mercedes driver believes they need to improve in a few areas to be the best on the grid in 2022. He revealed that the new W13 is very different from the previous generation of F1 cars.

“First impressions of W13 have been interesting. It’s a very different car to the previous era and the characteristic of how the downforce is produced is completely different, so we’re still learning as we’re going,” said Russell.

“There’s still a huge amount of improvement to be made to bring everything together to make it as nice as possible to drive, which I foresee a lot of people being in the same boat because we’re just learning so much day after day whether it’s in the wind tunnel or in the simulator,” said the Mercedes driver.

It would be nice to see a bit of silver back for the world champions this season. The team switched to their now-iconic black livery to showcase their support for equality. But if the new images are anything to go by, then we can expect some lighter colors on the car. Let’s wait for the official livery launch on February 18.
