“El Pink, Trash” – F1 Fans Go Berserk as Alpine-BWT Set for Confirmation

Force India and Racing Point dawned the pink livery in the world of Formula One. However, when the Silverstone team became Aston Martin, they switched to a British green. Their former partner, BWT, is being linked with Alpine for the 2022 season.

The Austrian company is one of the reasons the F1 community got to see a pink car on the grid. With BWT now being linked to the Enstone-based squad, fans are making fun of the livery concepts that could become a reality in the forthcoming season.

There were reports suggesting that BWT parted ways with Aston Martin as they are no longer mentioned on the team’s website. Now in 2022, they are set to make a deal with the French team. Seeing how pink is the company’s color, the F1 fan base gave some reactions to the team’s concept car for the 2022 season.

One user mocked Fernando Alonso’s “El Plan” by commenting, “El pink“, another wrote, “trashh.” Seeing that Esteban Ocon used to wear a pink race suit during his time with the British team, one commented, “Ocon is like ‘not again in the pink suit“. Fernando Alonso has high hopes for 2022

The 2-time world champion joined the French team at the start of the 2021 season, replacing Daniel Ricciardo. Having completed one year with the Enstone-based team, the Spanish driver is hopeful for a better season in 2022.

As quoted from Motorsport.com, Alonso said, “We are constantly trying to make the team stronger and we are working hard to prepare for 2022 in the best possible way.”

“Right now, I think we’re in better shape than we were in March 2021. But we still have a few things to fix. We definitely need to close the gap on the engine side.
