Lewis Hamilton reminded everyone today that he’s in it to win it! After the much-hyped Mercedes upgrade package, the 7x champion put in a solid performance to clinch a fourth position as the chequered flag fell on an eventful Monaco Grand Prix. At Monaco, Max Verstappen dominated once again. However, as an A-list Hollywood star waved the chequered flag to see Verstappen home, he would have been delighted to see a fellow Brit finish after the triumvirate of Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, and Esteban Ocon.

Tom Holland wasn’t the only person present at the paddock to witness one of the crown jewels of motorsport. Tennis beauty Maria Sharapova, among others, was present in Monaco to witness the race and to support their favorite British driver. Although fans who saw the stars from other industries support the same person were wondering if the support for their favorite driver was genuine or if they were using the Brit’s name as a throwaway name. But the magnetic charisma and sheer influence of the Brit in question is undeniable.

Tom Holland was handed the duty of waving the flag at the end of 78 laps at the principality. But the 26-year-old Spiderman franchise star caught the headlines for a completely different reason. The Brit was asked who he was supporting before the race began. And Holland didn’t stutter. All he said as per ESPN F1’s tweet were these two words, “Lewis. Always!” Naturally, as his favorite choice for the crown jewel of Formula 1 went viral, fans started reacting in spades.

Holland and Hamilton are arguably two of the most famous British personalities currently. However, in the Formula 1 circle, the British movie star may have just raised his stock by backing the 7x champion.
