Winning a race in Formula One is the greatest feeling ever, but taking home your first championship is a different experience altogether. 2016 world champion, Nico Rosberg reveals what he did when he beat Lewis Hamilton to win his first F1 title.

Drivers in Formula One are known for having extravagant parties when they win a race. But it only gets better when they take their first championship in a dramatic race.

The rivalry between Rosberg-Hamilton will be forever edged into the memories of Formula One fans. At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, it was the German driver who beat his teammate to take home the championship.

In a Q&A, Rosberg said, “After F1 races, do you send it afterward, or do you just try to get home as fast as possible?” The German was confused and was given clarification on what “Sending it” meant. He responded, “Oh yeah, It’s always full send, like full send. Especially after winning, my most favorite party-ever was probably after winning where we went to Amber Longue. Man that was epic, so always full send.”

Who will be winning the title this year?

In 2021, the final race in Abu Dhabi will decide the next world champion. So far this season, Max Verstappen has pushed himself to the limit. The Red Bull driver is locked in a heated battle with Hamilton. As it currently stands, both title contenders have tied in the driver’s standings at 369.5 points.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is this weekend and after the results of the Saudi Arabian GP, the title race has gotten even more interesting. Both drivers are well aware that the final race of the season will be extremely difficult. Hence, Hamilton and Verstappen will do their best to beat each other as soon as the lights go out at the Yas Marina.

There is no doubt the Abu Dhabi GP will have the entire world watching. Max will throw everything at Lewis, as soon as the lights go out in Sunday’s race at the Yas Marina.
