Daniil Kvyat has been battling to get a seat in Formula One this year. But the Russian driver, who is currently the reserve driver at Alpine, has failed to land on a seat in Formula One since leaving AlphaTauri in 2020. It certainly looks like that his time in Formula One may have ended, but there are many other opportunities for him outside the sport. Haas team principal Guenther Steiner revealed that the Russian driver is looking to move to NASCAR.

Haas owner Gene Haas owns the Steward-Haas team in NASCAR. The move would make a lot of sense for both parties involved as Haas would get a fast driver and Kvyat would get a drive.

Many drivers want to try it: Haas team boss Guenther Steiner

As reported by Grandpx. news, the German mentioned that a lot of drivers want to drive in the American series. He also stated that it is a big move for any driver to go from Formula One to NASCAR.

“Many drivers want to try it. Some are moving to Indycar too. This is a big step for them, as those series are very different–it’s like imagining going from NASCAR to Formula 1. It’s not just about the driving but the entire system.” said Steiner.

We hope that an agreement could be reached between Steiner and Kvyat. It would be lovely to see the former Red Bull driver back behind the wheel in a NASCAR.
