Being able to drive in Formula 1 is an expensive affair. However, trying to get in to watch a race at the Circuit is no cheaper. Recently, Formula 1 announced that we will have a Las Vegas Grand Prix from 2023 onwards.

Fans have been fearing that given that the race is in Las Vegas, the tickets will be even more exorbitant. And the fact that seats have been bought by MGM to make ticket and hotel packages worth up to $100,000 is not helping the cause either.

However, it seems as though Liberty Media has put the fan’s concerns at ease. According to the event CEO Renee Wilm, the fans will be acknowledged.

In consonance with Liberty Media, the owners of Formula 1, the Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO has proclaimed that there will be “affordable” seating at the race. The plans include a special area for younger fans. Further, they also plan to have General Admission tickets for the Grand Prix.

Accommodating the Las Vegas GP in the Formula 1 calendar from 2023 onwards means losing circuits that may be historic fan favorites but not commercially viable for the sport. One such track is the Monaco Circuit.

Monaco to remain on F1 calendar despite fears of being ousted by the Las Vegas Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix is the most iconic single-seater, open-wheel race in the entire world. However, given the width of the current generation of cars and the layout of the track, overtaking has been sparse. It was feared that we may lose the jewel of the F1 calendar. However, as it stands, Monaco has been saved.

For Formula 1 purists, this news would come as a huge relief. This is after F1 announced that they were planning to hold a street-circuit Grand Prix in Las Vegas. Fans feared we may lose Monaco to Las Vegas.
