The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious events in the world. Each year, thousands of film-industry professionals flock to the south of France to attend screenings, gala dinners, and parties celebrating the best in international cinema. Recently, Kelly Piquet, girlfriend of Max Verstappen, also attended the event.

While the talk was around Max Verstappen and his Monaco GP chances, the Brazilian model stole the show in Cannes. She captured all the glitz and glamor of the Cannes Film Festival as she made an incredible appearance.

She was also seen with Maye Musk, who is one of the most sought-after models of all time. And of course, Maye is also the mother of one of the world’s most successful innovators, Elon Musk.

Hollywood stars like Bella Hadid, Tom Hanks, and Sharon Stone also made their way to witness the festival. Fans, of course, showed their love to Kelly, who was pictured alongside Max Verstappen during the Monaco GP.

Only in Spain did Max overtake Kelly Piquet’s father’s record for the number of race wins. He currently has 24 wins to his name while Nelson Piquet finished with 23.

Max Verstappen reflects on Monaco GP

While his partner grabbed the headlines in Cannes, Verstappen could only manage to finish third in Monaco GP. But one could imagine he will take more than some consolation from that.

The Dutchman had won every race he finished until Monaco GP. While it’s true that he didn’t win the race; he outpaced Charles Leclerc and is still leading the driver’s standings.

Speaking after the race, he said, “I did the best I could after [qualifying] yesterday. As a team we did a really good job with the strategy to get ahead of the Ferraris.”

“As a whole team we can be pleased with the Sunday. It was a hectic one with rain. I extended my points lead which I didn’t expect last night, so that’s a positive.”

His teammate Sergio Perez is also right back in contention after his first race victory of the season. Moreover, the reigning champion is only 9 points ahead of Leclerc and 15 ahead of Perez.
