The Bahrain Grand Prix unfolded some extraordinary events. The opening race of the season had all the drama and became one of the most interesting races the sport has seen in recent times. From Ferrari’s one-two to Red Bull’s double DNF to Lewis Hamilton unexpectedly getting a podium finish, Bahrain gave it all.

Not just this, the race had George Russell claim P4 after starting in P9 in his first race as a full-time Mercedes driver. Moreover, showed brilliance to take P5 astonishingly. Among all this, Lewis Hamilton’s ‘toe-touch’ after the race with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz stole the limelight.

Charles Leclerc won the Bahrain Grand Prix, followed by Carlos Sainz in P2. Unfortunately, both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were out of the race due to a technical failure in their car in the very last stage of the race. This cushioned Lewis to come and take the final podium place, followed by Russell in P4.

What happened in the press conference with Lewis Hamilton?
As Hamilton came up for the post-race conference, he stood there with Charles and Carlos. Talking about this, Damon Hill was in conversation with Tom Clarkson in Spotify’s F1 Nation podcast.

Tom conveyed, “There was an amazing moment in the press conference, or before the press conference after the race. Lewis came in and said that it was tough. The bouncing was physically tough, so they all started touching their toes to loosen up or to see who could touch their toes.”

However, there could be a possibility of Lewis doing this because of his car. Mercedes are yet to fix their porpoising effect on their car. The F1-W13s porpoise in the straight and that becomes very tough for the drivers to adjust to when you go around 200 miles an hour.
