If Lewis Hamilton wants you to skydive with him, you better be ready. Recently, he and teammate George Russell seem to be bonding really well as they do several similar activities together.

Hamilton, who arguably did not have many friends on the grid, has surprised everyone with his fondness for Russell. While Lewis was close to former teammate Valtteri Bottas also, his bond with Russell seems different.

Lewis Hamilton is a really fun man when the time calls for it. Hamilton loves a good laugh and is often spotted hanging out with friends off the grid. Moreover, he has shown how he too can be humorous and funny sometimes while having fun with reporters and competitors.

Hamilton, Angela Cullen, and George recently all took to surfboarding together in Australia. Cullen, who happens to be Hamilton’s assistant, is also his close ally and confidant for years now. When Lewis posted a picture of him and Russell together, Angela’s comment beneath left us all in splits.

It revealed how Russell, after riding the tides, felt like getting a tattoo. Hamilton is now also trying to rope in Russell for skydiving alongside him, as revealed by one of his other posts. Twitter obviously had to react.

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell share a unique bond

We’re all really happy to see Hamilton bonding with his teammate so naturally. The last time we saw this was with Nico Rosberg, where the two drivers actually really admired each other. However, racing can be a cruel business as later on Rosberg and Hamilton got into a cold fight where both of them desperately wanted the title. Rosberg, in fact, after winning the championship in 2016, retired after facing the immense pressure of defeating Lewis.

Nobody knows where this friendship will go as of now. But honestly, we wish for the best. Russell is a very determined young talent, who might just prove to be faster than Lewis in the same car.
