Red Bull Racing were one of the fewest teams to unveil their 2022 Formula One challenger by merging the livery with that of the show car’s design. Hence, it seemed quite obvious that the Milton Keynes outfit had a few surprises up their sleeve, and well, the expectations have come alive.

Side pods have been one of the most attentive parts of this year’s F1 cars, with each team coming up with unique designs. It all started with Aston Martin, which left a lot of fans in awe.

But, the hype surrounding the British outfit barely lasted as Mercedes and, most importantly, Ferrari came up with even bizarre designs for their side pods that got the fans thinking how Red Bull’s design would look like; the Bulls were trying to keep the RB18 off the spotlight for a while.

But, one can only manage to succeed in that to an extent, as the real RB18 has finally reached the public’s view.

F1 Testing reveals the insane Red Bull sidepods

F1 officially flagged off the first pre-season testing in Barcelona earlier today and the only team to gain a lot of attention is Red Bull. The design looked absolutely astonishing and more so extremely distinct from the rest of the grid.

Hence, this led the fans to go wild on Twitter, with many already hailing Red Bull as the upcoming season’s title favorites over the defending champions, Mercedes. Too early to predict, but Red Bull do often bring about the element of surprise to the table and eventually secure their much-desired on-track results.

Electrifying F1 season ahead?

Although Mercedes won the constructor’s world championship title in 2021, that success was completely overshadowed by Lewis Hamilton’s defeat to Max Verstappen. Hence, despite lifting the constructor’s trophy for the eighth time in a row, there was nothing but pain and agony for the Mercedes engineers in Abu Dhabi.

And now, the hunger doesn’t seem to have gone down a bit. The Brackley outfit are seeking redemption and so is Hamilton. Hence, irrespective of who wins the two big trophies this year, it is safe to say that, as F1 fans, we are in for a treat!
