The Motorsport world witnessed the reunion of former Repsol Honda teammates Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez, as the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing test rider gave a lift to Marques on the back of his scooter during the Spanish GP. After seeing this MotoGP moment, the F1 fans recalled the Sebastian Vettel Scooter moment from this season.

During the FP1 of the Australian GP, the four-time F1 world champion faced issues with his Aston Martin AMR22. So, the 34-year-old got out of his car and took a marshal’s scooter to return to his pit while waving at the fans. Later, Seb had to pay a fine of 5,000 euros for driving the scooter on the circuit. But it became a memorable moment in the history of F1.

The F1 fans didn’t let go of the moment and made a lot of memes about Seb riding a scooter. But those memes eventually got cold after the Imola GP. However, after Pedroza gave a scooter lift to Marc in the Spanish motorcycling GP, fans again recalled Seb’s scooter moment. Further, fans came up with more memes to remember Seb’s hilarious scooter ride.

Sebastian Vettel rejects the idea of a Red Bull comeback

The 34-year is undoubtedly one of the best and most experienced drivers on the grid. However, he hasn’t lifted a championship in eight years. Seb peaked in his glory during his time at the Milton Keynes base as he won all four of his world titles driving for Red Bull.

But he left Red Bull after a titleless 2014 season to join Ferrari. During his 6-year-stint with the Prancing Horse, Vettel got many wins by no championships. Eventually, Vettel left the Italian F1 team to join Aston Martin last season, but it didn’t turn out as planned either.

The Silverstone-based team doesn’t have a competitive car for Seb to win a title. Further, Seb’s contract will expire with Aston Martin after the 2022 season. So, there are speculations that the former Red Bull driver will return to the Austrian F1 team.

But Vettel rejected those rumors, saying, “I haven’t spoken to Christian in ages. It’s not true. I am still active, my contract runs until the end of the year. A decision has not been made yet.”
