Sebastian Vettel is one of the drivers to make an effort for a better world! Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are the two Formula 1 motorists to have spoken out on a variety of causes. While Lewis Hamilton continues to hold the flag up for the unjust in society inside the world of motorsport, Sebastian Vettel, on the other hand, is reminding the government of the huge responsibility from the outside, given they organize a massive platform for F1 supporters. So what’s the matter?

This weekend will be one of the great initiatives from the German giant to raise awareness about synthetic fuels as part of his ongoing campaign to educate people about its impact on climate change and motorsport. Vettel has been involved in several eco-friendly initiatives since his retirement. Even while he was an active Formula 1 driver, the 36-year-old raised his voice against things that were ruining the environment. Moreover, the German is also an important brand representative for the sustainable sports drink BACX.

However, by driving two Formula 1 cars from his collection—Nigel Mansell’s championship-winning Williams FW14B and Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4/8 from 1993—at legendary Goodwood Hill, Vettel intends to impress upon the F1 administration the enormity of duty that rests on the shoulders of the sport’s stakeholders. As per Marca, Vettel initially opened up on having a meeting with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. He said, “We’ll see, but I have some ideas. I was in Monaco earlier this year. I had a very good meeting with F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali.”

Later, in the midst of growing conflict over critical issues like sustainability, Vettel served a brutal reminder. He said, “Apart from the cars that obviously pollute directly, F1 has a huge responsibility because it’s a very big event. A lot of people attend, I think there were around 500,000 people at the British Grand Prix last weekend. So, there’s a lot more to it than just cars, even though that’s the part everyone thinks about.” [Translated Via Google]

He added, “It’s not so much the threat of people sticking to the track on a race day or maybe at Goodwood, it’s more the threat that at some point governments will see things they can cut and ban and maybe motorsport is in danger and it could be one of them.”

The German driver has given the F1 community a wake-up call by pointing out that the sport is going to be 100% eco-fuels in 2026. In a nutshell, future governments will outlaw motorsport if something isn’t done.

There would have been no shortage of fresh roles for an individual of Vettel’s magnitude and voice for a beautiful purpose. However, before quitting the sport Vettel was fully persuaded to cut him off from his passion, and now that so many months have passed a question surely pops out in our mind, will Vettel make a comeback?

Is Sebastian Vettel up for a comeback?

“Vettel is coming back”, a wise man once said, and that smart man is none other than Sir Lewis Hamilton who throughout the course of his career has witnessed many drivers make a comeback. Last year after a good battle with his subconscious, Vettel decided to hang up his helmet.

However, with a newfound feeling of responsibility, the sport has once again begun to draw him back. And with his claim that he has spoken with the F1 CEO, the rumor intensifies. Rather than wasting any time speculating about his comeback, let’s hear it straight from the man himself. While talking to Planet F1 he said, “There’s lots of interest from different angles.”

Although Vettel is happily spending time with his family,”That’s still the journey I’m on. I’m spending a lot of time with my kids as well. We’ve done a bit of travelling as well in the van so I do enjoy that. ”

However, he revealed that spending time with them won’t be the main task and eventually he’ll be figuring out something, and while giving some mixed signals the German added, “But certainly I also know that I will not be living the life of my kids, it’s not going to be my main task. Even though I want to be there for them. But I think sooner or later, I will probably figure it out and take on a new challenge.”
