F1 Miami GP 2024: Weather Prediction for Miami International Autodrome

It’s time to head down to the Miami International Autodrome, where fans will witness the 2024 Miami GP. As we move away from Asia, we can expect new climate and weather conditions that will play a role in the race and the experience for the fans. It is the peak of summer now in the USA, and fans can expect it to get hot around the tracks.

But with the weather always being unpredictable, it’s always a good idea to scout for rain. And while it looks like we will mostly have a dry race, it would be smart for teams to keep their intermediate and wet tires on standby. Now the question stands: what will the weather conditions in Miami be during the Grand Prix?

Miami GP 2024: Weather conditions

The Miami GP weekend looks packed with two races for drivers to score points in. On Friday, drivers will get one round of free practice before getting into the qualifiers for the sprint race. According to the weather forecast on the WilliamsF1 site, sunny skies with a moderate breeze are to be expected, with this being the hottest day of the weekend at 30C and 86F. There is a less than 5% chance of precipitation, and for the first day, the track is expected to be warm and dry.

Day two will bring in similar weather conditions, with 29°C and 84°F temperatures and a less than 10% chance of precipitation. It will be another day of dry conditions on the track while drivers get ready for the Sprint race, followed by qualifying for the main race on Sunday. According to the forecast, race day will be quite different compared to the first two days, with the skies being partly sunny, which comes with a chance of light rain showers.

This might be the right day for everyone to bring along an umbrella, as the chance of precipitation is less than 35%. Overall, for most of the weekend, it will be hot and sunny, complimented by a breeze. And the track will be more predictable during the first two days. However, if it does rain, the high-speed track might have some cars losing grip if they do not adjust to the right tires.
