Commitment is what transforms a promise into a reality. Questions have been raised regarding Hamilton’s loyalty toward the team that helped him win 6 World Titles. Lewis Hamilton isn’t satisfied and has already expressed concerns about the Mercedes W14. Amidst the concerns, a Former F1 team owner indicates the Britons move to a rival team.
Mercedes has had a disappointing start to the F1 season once again after the shambolic display of the 2022 season. The silver arrows carried forward their zeropod design, which proved to be unsuccessful. Although it seems they’ve gotten rid of the porpoising problem, they are nowhere near the pace of Red Bull. Mercedes looks like the 4th fastest team behind Red Bull, Ferrari, and Aston Martin.
After being robbed of the mystical 8th world championship in 2021, Hamilton is looking to make amends. However, Mercedes has failed to deliver a competitive car, leaving Hamilton in disarray. The seven-time world champion’s contract with Mercedes ends this year. Former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan suggests that the Briton should make a move if he’s willing to win another World Championship. The only option that seems viable at the moment is Ferrari.

According to independentespanol.com, Eddie Jordan during an interview with OLBG said “Formula 1 needs Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari and Ferrari needs Lewis Hamilton,” “Hamilton should look to go to another winning team of the Championship, but the drama is who is going to step aside.” He further added, “The only other places I see going to Hamilton are Ferrari or staying in Mercedes.”
All Hamilton is asking for is a competitive car, which gives him a fighting chance. He already sounds frustrated during his team radios and if Mercedes is unable to provide a better car for the remainder of the season, the Brit might consider switching as Jordan suggested.

Lewis is not the one who quits easily. He is ready to stay with the team and fight for his eighth title. At the end of the Bahrain GP and the Saudi Arabian GP, the Mercedes driver appreciated the team’s efforts and motivated them to keep pushing to reach where they want to be.
According to Crash.net, Hamilton said “I love this team and I’m so grateful for everyone that’s been on the journey with me,”, further adding “I don’t envisage being anywhere else. I don’t see myself quitting, I don’t feel like I’m a quitter.” “I’m not planning on going anywhere else but I couldn’t get any more out of the car today.”
