What are some names that are synonymous with Red Bull? Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen are the two champions that one thinks of when it comes to Red Bull drivers. But Adrian Newey and Christian Horner are two pillars of Red Bull that have made the team a success. However, one of them, i.e. Christian Horner, is under investigation and there have been rumors of him leaving the team as a result. What’s intriguing though is the fact that Adrian Newey might leave with him as well.

It was rumored that Horner was asked to resign from his current Red Bull role as a result of the investigation. However, he decided otherwise and will remain a part of the team until the investigation is going on. Some new rumors have come to light now as a result of Horner being asked to resign from his current role and it has to do with the man who can see air molecules, Adrian Newey.

Joe Saward suggested that both Horner and Newey have a clause in their contract that prevents the other from leaving. Joe Saward tweeted, “It has long been believed that Christian Horner and Adrian Newey have contracts that protect one another. If one leaves the other can as well. This has never been confirmed – but it makes for an interesting dynamic if something were to happen to Horner.”

Judging by what we’ve seen on the track, Christian Horner seems to be all about performance, and that sometimes leads to aggression, in a good way. Look at Max Verstappen, a perfect example of that, putting the aggression to good use. Adrian Newey on the other hand is regarded as the God of Aerodynamics. Many engineers still refer to the book written by Newey on Aerodynamics.

If Horner and Newey were both to leave Red Bull, it’s difficult to imagine the Austrian Team Challenging for the title like they are right now. Finding someone to fill such big shoes will be next to impossible.

Red Bull owner steps into the Christian Horner investigation

Unlike Toto Wolff, Christian Horner isn’t a substantial owner of the Red Bull team. As a result, his having much influence on the board in such matters is unlikely. However, Chalerm Yoovidhya, who owns Red Bull’s 51% shares, does have the power to influence the decision. Rumors suggest that Yoovidhya has stepped into the ring and will be the one making the decision on Horner’s future.
