Adrian Newey’s Red Bull future seems to be finalized. The British Engineer is not just Red Bull’s prized possession but F1’s. Cars designed by him have allowed 7 different drivers to win 13 driver’s championships over the years. Max Verstappen, who is the latest recipient of Newey’s genius, is en route to his 4th consecutive championship. But a continuation of this was under serious threat when the Christian Horner case began.

Once the Horner investigation broke into mainstream media, cracks in the picture-perfect house of the Milton Keynes outfit surfaced. Not all was as it seemed. The reigning World Champions faced the threat of losing their star driver and other technical personnel to rivals. Ferrari and Aston Martin attempted to lure Red Bull CTO Newey with “substantial” offers, while Mercedes eyed Pierre Wache (Newey’s right-hand man).

As per Motorsport, Billionaire Aston Martin Boss Lawrence Stroll made a “very juicy offer” to Newey that matched the salary of one of the highest-paid drivers on the grid. Despite this, reports have now emerged that Newey will be continuing with Red Bull for the “long term”. The famous designer is working on a Red Bull supercar that is estimated to be built by 2025 end. Till then, Newey will be seemingly bound to his current team.

But till there isn’t a concrete announcement made, speculations will continue. At this junction, RB Advisor Helmut Marko has weighed in on this topic too.

Helmut Marko responds to rival offers made to Adrian Newey

After witnessing the mighty RB19 and Max Verstappen’s dominant win in 2023, Adrian Newey’s worth has skyrocketed in the F1 market. Ferrari, who he had dreamt of creating a car for in the past, attempted to make that partnership come true in 2024. But Lawrence Stroll reportedly offered a more lucrative deal.

Helmut Marko, who has known Newey for a long time, commented on this dicey situation. “He’s a highly sought-after designer, he’s the technician everyone wants to have,” the Austrian said, as per Autosprint. “I don’t think this is the first offer he’s received and I don’t think it will be the last.”

This definitely won’t be the last offer the Red Bull mastermind gets. Newey’s worth is now more than that of a championship-winning driver.
