F1 World Slam “Same Ol’ Ferrari” After Signs of “Falling Apart” Begin to Show in Bahrain

It was just the start of the 2023 F1 season in Bahrain, and there was a red flag! Brought in by Ferrari! Yes, it’s right, the Italian team brought in the first-ever red flag of the season after a part of Charles Leclerc‘s car broke down. As the debris stopped time, fans took over the internet with disbelief over Ferrari’s “same old” conditions from 2022.

As Leclerc took to track for the first qualifying session of the evening, a part of his SF-23’s front left brake broke down on the track. However, it wasn’t enough to halt the car on track, but was enough to bring out a red flag. Moreover, it is believed that the breakage was on both brake ducts.

The 2022 F1 season was a staggering reminder of the heartbreak Tifosi went through due to their reliability issues. Team drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz stopping by the side of the track were enough to ruin their times. As the new season saw the first glimpse of Ferrari’s breakdown, it was enough for the fans to react!

The fans hit at the Italian team even more after the Maranello-based team arrived in Bahrain with huge expectations behind their back. The Prancing Horse is expected to take their shot at the championship after 2022, as they look to pick one after 2008. This comes right after Carlos Sainz suffered his first heartbreak of the season.

Despite this, the Ferrari duo performed well in qualifications. While Sainz finished at the top in Q1, Leclerc finished Q1 in P3. In the end, Leclerc and Sainz locked the second row for Ferrari in P3 and P4 behind the Red Bull duo of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen, the pole sitter in Bahrain.
