As the F1 off-season drags out, there’s not much to look forward to. What is hope in the distant future is the release of the Netflix docu-series Drive to Survive, which will highlight the dramatic 2021 season. A favorite from the show gives an exciting update to the fans.

The dramatic voice behind the scenes of the Netflix show, Will Buxton, had the opportunity to wrap up the 2022 season for the crew. In a recent Instagram post, Buxton updated the fans about the progress of the series. Captioning the post “DTS BTS”, Buxton announced the completion of interviews for the show.

The man behind the line: “There are times when silence falls to the race track,” Buxton’s contribution to the show adds to the theatrics of the series. Further, will Buxton’s insight and narration of the sequence of events has been a pleasant welcome.

As the filming has evidently reached its final stages, we can expect the release date to be out soon.

F1 fans await the Netflix docu-series

Revisiting the already tense 2021 season is sure to make the upcoming series a bigger hit than it was in the past. The vendetta shared by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton has been engaging in itself; the behind the scene cut of the dramatic season will be worth tuning into.

F1 and Netflix confirmed the return of the series in August 2021. Earlier, the release dates have been around March. The first season was released on the 8th of March, a week ahead of the first race of the season, in Australia. The following year, DTS was released on the 28th of February, two weeks before the season opener. Season three, the latest chapter, was aligned to release with the season opener as well.

However, Max Verstappen had earlier mentioned staying away from the show. Thus, we won’t be hearing much from the world champion about his season. Nonetheless, it was a season that kept giving, even aside from the championship. From Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo’s win, Fernando Alonso and George Russell’s podium, it truly was a season to remember.
