Lewis Hamilton has taken a much-needed time out during the summer break. After regaining his position at the top of the leaderboard, the champion has one less thing to worry about. Unwinding, surrounded by nature, Hamilton went old school- slinging a speaker over his shoulders and taking a ride in the hills. Nodding along to Red Red Wine by UB40, Hamilton’s comments section blew up because of Angela Cullen.

Hamilton’s trainer made a minor blunder, commenting, “powered by Bob,” under the post. Cullen misconstrued the popular English reggae band as Bob Marley. Subsequently, the replies poured in, correcting Lewis’ friend over her error.

Now, Hamilton is taking time off with nature. A quick scroll through his Instagram reveals his love for the outdoors. He spent time with his designer friend, Tommy Hilfiger, and has been out getting a breath of fresh air. The stressful season resumes in a week, with Hamilton back on the track, fighting to extend his eight-point lead from Max Verstappen.

Technical Director Mike Elliott commented, “Lewis was really pushing on that two-stop, some of the overtakes he was doing were absolutely brilliant. That takes a lot of energy out of you in that really hot environment.” He further emphasized, ” The average person like you and me, we wouldn’t survive five minutes in there, let alone a whole race.”
