Lewis Hamilton is one of the most successful Formula 1 drivers ever. Naturally, his success also brings with it immense affluence. One would not be surprised to learn that he has spent a good amount on collecting things most people could never even dream of owning.

Hamilton is among the highest-paid athletes in the world. Further, his wealth has allowed him to splash his cash on the most extravagant of things. Who would’ve thought that his most revered item would be a $2 million painting recreated on a gold ring?

In 2007, Andy Warhol’s piece, ‘Mercedes Benz 300 SL Coupe‘ was sold for a whopping $2 million. It is understood that 7-time World Champion owns a gold necklace with the painting recreated on it in a smaller scale.

Gold necklaces etched with timeless classics aren’t the only thing that the Briton is into, apparently. According to sources, Lewis may soon bid for something that we haven’t seen any Formula 1 driver own before.

Lewis Hamilton is a visionary. He has helped develop a midfield team into 8-time World Champions. However, soon, we may see him take up the ownership role at Manchester United.

When asked about partnering Ineos boss and friend Sir Jim Ratcliffe in a bid to buy the Red Devils, Hamilton said, “I haven’t had a call from him asking if I want to be involved in that just yet. But I do want to get more and more involved in teams because I really do believe in black ownership.”

“There is a lack of it in sports. And black equity, again, there is a real lack of that.”
