Ferrari have completely blitzed the field at the start of the 2022 season. The Italian team has dominated the first three races of the season and has won two of them, courtesy of Charles Leclerc. Thanks to their surreal pace, Ferrari still remains the only team to not bring any major upgrades to their car since the preseason testing.

But according to Motorsport Italia, they might be bringing in the first upgrade at the next race in Imola. The team will bring its first upgrade in the form of introducing a new floor to help its issue of porpoising.

The team has been one of the worst to experience porpoising since the beginning of the season. But unlike many other teams, they do not seem to be suffering in terms of performance in the races.

It is unimaginable how much performance the team will gain if they resolve their porpoising issue ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. They might also bring in some upgrades in the coming races in Miami and Barcelona to their power unit.

Other teams on the grid, such as Red Bull and Mercedes, will pay close attention to the upgrades that the Italian team will bring. They might also be a bit worried that if the upgrades work as expected, then they might be in much more trouble than they already are.

Red Bull have looked the closest to challenging the Italian team this season but has an unreliable car. So, rather than making their car faster, they would be looking to make it more reliable for the upcoming races.
