In the build-up to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the two-time world champion was asked how he felt about visiting England.

He explained, “I have a love-hate relationship with England. I do like the way of English people take life in general – Discipline, loyalty, work ethic. But at the same time, you know I am from Spain, I like the good weather, the sun.”

“And, every time that I go to England, I check the forecast, and I see that there is rain happening or windy or foggy or something. It becomes a little more difficult to spend time there. So hopefully we have a good weekend this time and everyone can enjoy a sunny Silverstone,” Alonso concluded.
