Fernando Alonso is “Going to Be Very Different” When He Returns to F1: Button

Fernando Alonso is making his much-awaited comeback to Formula 1 next year. Alonso retired from McLaren at the end of 2018. He will make his return driving for Renault as Daniel Ricciardo makes a move to McLaren for 2021.
During the break, Fernando Alonso racing in several other competitions, He won the 24 hours Le Mans with Toyota. He also claimed the FIA World Endurance Championship. He raced in the Indianapolis 500 and also made his Dakar Rally debut.
The 2-time World Champion is involved with the team’s performance already. Renault has been the most improved team this season. Meanwhile, Alonso is taking in every opportunity to practice the R.S.18 and prepare himself for the 2021 season.

Jenson Button recently revealed that the versatile racing experience will help the Spaniard next season. He pointed out that Kimi Raikkonen spent a few years away from F1 and came back a better driver.
“That’s why they go back, and that’s why Fernando is going back. It definitely helped him and Fernando will come back a better driver as well I think,” he further added.
Button believes Fernando Alonso is much more of a team player now
A break from Formula 1 makes the driver realize how much they miss it. According to Button, the experience is going to make him a different racer.

He said, “Whether he’s more skilled as a racing driver, or if it’s the way he works with the team, I think he’s going to be very different.”

Alonso claimed a team wouldn’t want the Alonso from 3 or 4 years ago. However, he clarified, “But now I think he’s much more of a team player, and understands that it is necessary to succeed.”
Jenson Button spent 17 years racing and gave an incredible amount to motor-racing. The former World Champion was Fernando Alonso’s teammate in McLaren in 2015 and 2016.
