Fernando Alonso: The Luxurious Houses that he Owns

Being a 2-time F1 world champion, Fernando Alonso would have amassed a significant amount of coin in his bank account. Obviously, the Spaniard needs to invest his money somewhere, so he has bought a few houses.
He is the proud owner of a luxury apartment in a 52-storey building in Dubai. According to reports, that apartment is worth £130m, which isn’t surprising because Dubai is the playground of the rich.
However, instead of living there, he favours a fiercely private home life. The former McLaren driver loves to kick-back in some of his stunning holiday homes. Two of them are reportedly located in Switzerland, while a third one can be found in Oxford.

Reports suggested that Alonso perused the market for a property in Lugano, near the Italian border. Alonso’s previous residence was at Mont-sur-Rolle. Comparatively, Lugano cuts the commute to Ferrari by nearly half, as compared to Mont-sur-Rolle.

Admittedly, the Spaniard denied claims of house-hunting in Switzerland. However, he did not deny that he was in the Italian-dominated region in Switzerland. When he spoke to the media, he insisted that he was on vacation and merely looking for a hotel.
According to former F1 driver Marc Surer, Alonso’s house and his parents were constantly pestered by fans and media. However, moving to Switzerland offers him and fellow F1 drivers a chance for peace and quiet. So, this likely explained why the likes of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen like it in the Alpine country.
