The tides of success violently keep changing in F1. Lewis Hamilton, who enjoyed a near-perfect run with Mercedes till 2020, has been stuck in an endless loop of failing and trying to figure out why. Fortuitously, Mercedes’ loss resulted in Ferrari’s historic F1 gain – a seven-time champion trusted them to achieve his record-breaking eighth. For his massive fan base, 2025 can’t come early enough. Ferrari’s CEO, however, has urged Frederic Vasseur & Co. to brace themselves for uncertain conditions, come 2025.

Red Bull might still be dominating F1, but Ferrari has, at least, leapfrogged Mercedes with their developments. The grass has grown greener on their side, with them finishing on the podium in four out of five races in 2024, including one win. Moreover, Team Principal Frederic Vasseur expects things to exponentially improve when Lewis Hamilton comes on board.

Ferrari CEO, Benedetto Vigna, believes the same. He highlighted how Hamilton’s arrival would enhance Ferrari’s DNA. “Lewis will bring us what is in our DNA, what our founder has said many times, a desire for continuous progress which is fundamental for a company, a team, to continue to be successful in the future,” Vigna told CNBC. “For Ferrari, it is fundamental to have the soul of a driver.”

After the ambitious words, Vigna centered himself to not allow Ferrari to be carried away with their success. “When everything is going well in a company, we forget that things can change,” the Italian emphasized. “Having people like Lewis in the house will help remind us that things can change and you must always be vigilant if you go too fast in a corner, you risk spinning, which is why you must keep all four wheels firmly on the ground.”

Vigna’s cautious approach, despite Ferrari’s considerably improved performance, displays the team’s vision clearly. The focus remains not on just a few podiums but on achieving what Red Bull has. The stars seem to be aligning for Ferrari. So much so that Hamilton’s old teammate and arch-rival too is expecting mega success for the Briton in 2025 and beyond.

Nico Rosberg expects “amazing” results from Lewis Hamilton’s ferrari move

12 years ago, Lewis Hamilton did the unthinkable. He left McLaren, a proven performer, to join Mercedes, a team with not enough promise. But as soon as this switch happened, Mercedes rose to be being frontrunners while McLaren backtracked. Nico Rosberg, who had a bitter rivalry with the seven-time champ as his teammate in the Silver Arrows, expects this Mercedes to Ferrari switch to pan out like the McLaren to Mercedes did.

“By the way, at the moment, it seems in performance terms to be the right decision for him,” Rosberg told Sky Sports about the Ferrari move. Maybe he will make an amazing move like 12 years ago when he moved from McLaren to Mercedes. McLaren were winning races, Mercedes were nowhere. The moment he moved, McLaren went backwards and Mercedes started winning races. Maybe he can get the same timing again.”

If Hamilton gets the timing right once again, he’ll become F1’s most successful driver ever. But this will all be contingent on Red Bull and Max Verstappen ceasing to continue with their magic. That being said, do you think Nico Rosberg’s prophecy will come true? Let us know!
