Ferrari F1 Boss Mattia Binotto Reveals Unlikely Friendship With ‘Iceman’ Kimi Raikkonen

Kimi Raikkonen retired from Formula One at the end of the 2021 season. The Finnish driver won his world championship in 2007 and hung his gloves after two decades in the sport. During his time F1, Raikkonen made some special relationships within the sport. Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto shed light on his relationship with the 2007 world champion.
Binotto mentioned Kimi was a straightforward person. The Italian revealed he will miss the former Ferrari driver in Formula One. Mattia revealed the reason that separated Raikkonen from other drivers on the grid.

As reported by Speedweek, the Ferrari team boss stated that the Finnish driver was different from the one portrayed in the media. Mattia mentioned that Kimi Raikkonen is a warmhearted person and his antics in front of the camera do not really do him justice.
“We will miss Kimi. I got to know him as a thoroughly honest man, a man who renounces all antics. What you see or what he says is the matter, and that’s it; no games,” said Binotto.
