We know Formula 1 isn’t called the gentleman’s sport, it’s from it and we have plenty of proof. However, ever so often we come across instances that warm our hearts thanks to some exceptional drivers and their gestures. As of the 2024 Saudi Arabian GP, we’ve come across another wholesome instance and it’s all thanks to Ferrari man Carlos Sainz. No extra points for guessing it was toward his substitute and the talk of the weekend, Oliver Bearman.

We can all agree the Spaniard has always been a classy driver who is cordial to everyone and gets along very well with teammates. He is an overall well-liked personality around the paddock and a perfect team player. So even when he wasn’t available for the race in Jeddah, he made sure to mark his presence around the paddock as he put on his Ferrari t-shirt and showcased support in person at the circuit. However, as reported by Marca, he did not just showcase support from a distance. He went in and helped Oliver Bearman with a few tips and tricks for the race as the youngster used Sainz’s steering wheel.

If you take away the competitiveness, Formula 1 is a very safe and helpful environment for drivers, especially the young ones trying to make a mark. Bearman was a perfect example to prove this scenario, with the Brit feeling all the support and love from everyone on the grid. If Sainz’s example wasn’t enough, he also revealed how the biggest gentleman the sport has ever produced Sebastian Vettel sent him a message before the race.
