“I Really Fought Hard”- Sebastian Vettel’s Sad Eifel Grand Prix Team Radio

Sebastian Vettel had to gulp down another disappointing performance, this time at the Eifel Grand Prix. The Alfa Romeo cars hurdled his P11 today at Nurburgring; however, that might just be one of his best performances this year besides Hungary.

Vettel was experiencing problems with his car since the beginning, not to forget, he spun out completely at Turn 1. He would have landed in the gravel trap resulting in another disastrous DNF, but his stars shone on him and he held his car together and fought out of it.

His team radio after missing the points table by one position was a daunting sign that the champion is getting tired. The races, the weekends, the car trouble are all getting to him.

His team tried to cheer him up, reminding him that he had done better than before, yet his voice was as somber as it gets.

“I really fought hard to drive past, but the very difficult as I ran out of tyres in the end. It was very difficult to make progress through the field,” replied a devastated Vettel

Sebastian Vettel tired of disappointing weekends

Sebastian Vettel was not aiming for the podiums, yet he has been looking for inspiration on the track frantically. The racer who used to lead races up until two years ago now struggles to get his name on the points table. A truly harrowing example of how fast the lanes in the F1 world change.

The SF1000s are not a weapon that Sebastian can yield; although the car catered well to the Nurburgring track, he couldn’t much use it. He held his ground and finished exactly where he started.

However, we can hope that his next season at Racing Point will bring him some respite. His style is undeniably better suited to the Pink Mercedes on the grid, and the team is welcoming him with all the love he’s lost over the course of a few years.

The Prancing Stallion have been struggling to hold their ground. Not only have they been shunned as a midfield team, their car has been trailing their customers. The embarrassing situation that they find themselves in is eating them up.

However, Mattia Binotto believes that brighter days lie ahead. The team is gathering all the pieces of its shattered self and aiming for higher ground. Will they make it or stumble further down, only time will tell.
