Ferrari Ace Carlos Sainz and Real Madrid Star Thibaut Courtois Go Head to Head in Virtual F1 Duel

Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz and Real Madrid Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois went up against each other in a virtual F1 and FIFA duel. Sainz uploaded a clip of the two stars catching up on his Instagram handle. Fans know Sainz to be a hardcore Real Madrid fan and he shares a good relationship with Courtois.
The Ferrari star had a brilliant 2021 F1 season as he finished only behind the two front-running teams. The Spaniard was also lauded for his consistency throughout the season, with no DNFs in 22 races. As time progresses, we are heading towards the next season, all-in-all an exciting one because of the major overhaul in the rules. Many F1 insiders expect Ferrari to be at the front in 2022, something Sainz would be looking forward to.

Meanwhile, his friend and Madrid Goalkeeper Courtois is having a great run in La Liga. Real Madrid is on top of the La Liga table and the Belgian goalkeeper has been a huge part of that run.
Unsurprisingly, when the two went up against each other in a virtual battle, it was no less exciting. While Carlos pipped his counterpart in the F1 game, Courtois dominated in his league.

As the clip started, Sainz looked excited to meet Courtois, “Entering the door to greet my friend Thibaut Courtois. We have a surprise to give him; I think he will like it very much.” As the two went ahead, Carlos unveiled the F1 racing simulator.

The two started with the F1 simulator. Sainz recorded the fastest lap time of 1:29:385. Outpacing one of the best F1 drivers would have been a difficult task for the Madrid star; however, in an impressive run, he recorded the fastest lap time of 1:30:978. The two then shifted over to Courtois’ territory, the 2022 FIFA game.

Sainz cheekily said, “I think in a regular game, you’ll beat me easily. So let’s play without rules, more fun.” After an early strike from the Spaniard, he was surely high on confidence. But Courtois easily dominated the rest of the play. After a fun banter, the two had a generous handshake to end the proceedings. In the caption of his Instagram post, Sainz wrote, “Revenge soon.”
