Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc Emotionally Reacts to His Brother Arthur’s Maiden F3 Pole

Arthur Leclerc took the pole in Formula 3 sprint race 1 at Hungarian Grand Prix. The younger brother of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, he set the time of 1 minute 33.14 seconds ahead of his Prema teammate Dennis Hauger.

Charles took to social media to express his delight on Arthur’s pole lap. Leclerc was also present at the circuit when Arthur won his first race of 2021 in France. Charles congratulated his brother on his Instagram story, ” What a lap! Proud (heart emoji),” wrote Charles.

Arthur Leclerc to start on pole in Sprint race 1 at Budapest

Prema locked out the front row of the grid as Leclerc will start ahead of his teammate Dennis Hauger. The front row allows Hauger to extend his championship lead further from Frederik Vesti.

Leclerc will serve his three-place grid penalty in Sprint race 2. Crucially, he will retain his pole position and four points for the weekend. Arthur will start race 2 in the 15th position because of his grid penalty. Arthur got his penalty when he collided with Novalak in Austria on Race 3.

As reported by planetf1, Charles Leclerc previously mentioned that he gets terrified when he sees his brother driving on the track. The Monegasque driver stated he images every possible bad scenario when Arthur is racing.

“I’m just very, very happy to see him doing so, so well. I really hope he will be joining me on the Formula 1 grid very soon, but it’s still a long way to go,” said Leclerc.

“I’m 10 times more stressed whenever it’s him racing compared to when I am racing because when I have the helmet on, I don’t think about the danger of the sport. But whenever I see him from the outside, I start to think about all the bad scenarios that can happen,” said Leclerc.
