F1 might be the pinnacle of motorsport but it isn’t all about engineering. It’s about making a change and providing a platform for it by being the change. Earlier, F1 provided a platform to help fight racism and is now helping the ones suffering the ones in Italy. The F1 fans took pride in being a supporter of the sport as F1 and Stefano Domenicali followed Ferrari and made a $1,079,000 donation to help those in need. 

The Emilia Romagna GP that was supposed to be held this weekend got canceled because of flooding in the region due to massive rain showers and thunderstorms. F1 released a press release on Wednesday as they explained the reason behind the cancellation. In an attempt to provide help to the ones suffering, Ferrari donated $1,079,000 to Emilia-Romagna Region’s Agency for Territorial Safety and Civil Protection.

Following in Ferrari’s footsteps, Stefano Domenicali and F1 also donated $1,079,000 to the Emilia-Romagna Region’s Agency for Territorial Safety and Civil Protection to support the people affected by the floods. The F1’s official page also posted Stefano Domenicali’s release on the same page with a link for people to donate and help the ones in need. The CEO of F1 was born and brought up in the region of Emilia-Romagna as he asks the public to help and support those in need.

According to F1’s official Twitter account post, Stefano Domenicali said, “The situation facing the communities in the region is terrible, but I know that the resilience and passion of the people in the region, like so many across Italy, will prevail through this crisis. We must do everything we can to support them at this difficult time and that is why we are donating to help support the relief efforts on the ground. My thoughts, on behalf of the entire Formula 1 community, are with everyone affected and we want to thank the emergency services for their incredible work.”

Stefano Domenicali’s statements along with F1’s generous donation sent the F1 fans into a different sphere as they appreciated F1’s efforts to help the right cause and took pride in being an F1 fan. With drivers like Yuki Tsunoda helping the ground forces with the cleaning up, Fans expressed their thoughts on the ‘Massive W’ action taken by the F1.
