Racing Point received a lot of backlash for letting Perez leave when the team had bagged a goo deal with Aston Martin, Although Szafnauer rendered many reasons, nothing satisfied the fans. Well, hopefully the gifts reduce the hate a bit.

“Thank You everybody! Its been a pleasure to work with all of you. A lot of years huh! I hope you guys miss me,” remarked Checo standing the last time in the team garage. Well, he will miss them as he speeds past them in his Red Bull.

Sergio Perez leaves on an emotional note

The scenes back at the Racing Point garage were emotional. Sergio Perez bidding adieu to his team members and the entire garage echoing with the chants of ‘CHECO CHECO!!’ Sergio Perez would agree that the feeling is surreal and he will have a tough time forgetting it.

“These years mean to me a lot to myself and my family. 7 years is a lot of time that we share so many good, bad and great mementos and great memories that will stay with us forever.

“So as I always say you have a great friend in Mexico, anytime you’re there give me a shout,” concluded Checo.

At Red Bull, Sergio Perez begins a new chapter of his racing career. Bagged a podium at the Sakhir GP, Checo makes announced he was in good form. Well, to complete that entire form, he signed his deal with Red Bull a few days back.

Max had since long asked for a competitive teammate alongside him. Well, he got what he asked for and he will surely make it difficult for the Mercedes in 2021.
