Since being demoted from Red Bull to AlphaTauri, he has faced difficulties – mostly from a mental perspective. But, he has emerged from the dark to be a real star for the team.
He will almost certainly continue and look to improve on this season ahead of 2021. But, is a return to Red Bull Racing any time soon on the cards, after how it went down last time?

Pierre Gasly still has good relations with Red Bull
There was a lot of expectation upon Pierre’s shoulders, when he stepped into Red Bull. But, despite the demotion, he maintains good relations with the main team’s management.
Gasly expressed his thoughts and stated, “I am quite an honest guy. I say what I think and we don’t always share the same views or opinions.”

“If I have what I need around me, I performed the same way. Relations [with Red Bull] are still good, everything has been good, only these six months were different story,” concluded Gasly.

What has been fascinating for Pierre is the fact that he has been able to channel the negativity. And ultimately, he has let his focus and driving do the talking when he enters the track.

But despite the plaudits, it is improbable to see him transfer back to Red Bull so soon. For one, the team still believes in Alex Albon to do well and keep his seat for next season.

Another AlphaTauri team principal, Franz Tost, is a big fan of Gasly, and absolutely wants to keep him. After all, they have their own set of ambitions – one that includes being a regular midfield contender.
However, there would be a desire and belief in Gasly’s mind. His eventual objective is making it big at Red Bull Racing, and winning races and podiums at the team. Only time will tell where Gasly’s future actually lies.
