The F1 summer break has the drivers scattered across the globe, enjoying a much-needed vacation. While Lewis Hamilton enjoys the beach, his brother continues racing for the BTCC. The two are extremely fond of each other and usually spend a lot of time playing video games. In an attempt to keep that tradition alive, Hamilton bought his younger brother a gift for them to stay connected.

Nicolas Hamilton took to Instagram to appreciate the gift his brother got him. He said“Lewis Hamilton kindly gave me a portable ‘gaming station’ so I can still link up with him & play even whilst I’m away racing! GENIUS!”

The gesture surely made Nic feel good, considering he won’t be seeing his elder brother for a long time. The distance doesn’t seem to affect the siblings as they take the time to keep traditions going.

Nic, who is currently racing for RoKit Racing, had recently extended his contract with the team. In similar news, Hamilton’s contract extension was also big news around the paddocks in Austria.

Summer break for Lewis Hamilton

The championship protagonist Lewis Hamilton had a bit of a health scare at the end of the Hungarian GP. Explaining his struggles with his health after being infected with Covid last year, Hamilton needs to come back stronger for the race at Spa.

The title battle is as intense as ever; as Mike Elliott explained, “He is now going to have a break over the shutdown and I am sure he will come back really strong for the second half of the season.”

Since returning home for the summer break, Hamilton has been working on his overall fitness. He updates fans about his workouts, “Pushing to expand” his lungs.

Training relentlessly, Hamilton has his eyes on the prize. His ‘no pain, no gain’ attitude will definitely help him once he returns to the track.

The physically challenging race in Hungary eventually paid off as Hamilton sits at the top of the driver’s board. The race also pushed Red Bull to second, Toto Wolff‘s cheerful face taking over the screen presenting the constructor’s standings.

There is a lot of promise from both the teams and the drivers going into the second half. With a championship battle this intense, everything will be down to the wire till the last race.
