George Russell Gets Hilariously Welcomed By Daniel Ricciardo to the ‘Land of Danny Riccs’

The Australian GP is set to take place this weekend. It didn’t make the F1 calendar in the past 2 years because of the pandemic, but it’s finally back. The teams and drivers have arrived in Australia and are raring to go. While they are waiting for the race, drivers George Russell and Daniel Ricciardo have been poking some friendly fun at each other.

The banter has already kicked off between the drivers with Russell’s new Instagram post.

It’s Ricciardo’s World

The drivers and teams are all set and preparing for the 2022 Australia GP. However, while there is still time for the weekend, some friendly jabs over the internet don’t hurt. Mercedes driver George Russell’s recent Instagram pokes fun at Daniel Ricciardo.

With jokes probably being the Australian’s middle name, he did not hold back from quickly commenting “How quick are those Danny Ric things ughh adorable”

Australian GP Announces Bizarre 4 DRS Zones Amid Brawn’s Recent F1 Comments

The comments section was also having a good time with the 2 drivers. One user commented “the caption.. “danny riccs”.. plural.. so you’re telling me there’s more than one danny ric? 😂😭”

Another wished him luck ahead of this weekend “Best of Luck for your 63rd F1 race this weekend, George 👊”

It will be interesting to watch these 2 duke it out on the streets of Melbourne this weekend.

This season Ricciardo’s career with McLaren was expected to kick off. However, the start of the season has been far from ideal for the honey badger. He contracted COVID right before the season started just returning in time for the season opener.

The second race in Jeddah saw him retire after losing drive on his MCL36. The first 2 races see him sit with no points to his name. However, the race in Australia marks his Melbourne debut with his new team McLaren and he will be hoping for a good showing.
