As it turns out, George Russell dated de Varis’s sister. Way back in his GP3 days, Russell met De Vries’ sister Seychelle De Vries, and sparks flew. Reportedly, they began dating in 2017. However, they broke up after more than two years together.

Currently, Russell is dating Carmen Montero, who, as reports would suggest, is working at an Investment firm in the UK after having graduated in 2021. We don’t know much about Russell’s romantic relationship with Seychelle as the pair were always very private about their love life.

However, his relationship with Montero isn’t the only one that should be on Russell’s mind right now. According to boss Toto Wolff, both his drivers need to figure out their equation before disaster strikes.

George Russell and Lewis Hamilton need to “find their relationship” according to boss Toto Wolff

On paper, the line-up of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton seems unbeatable. However, in light of the struggles of the W13, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has explained another aspect the duo need to sort out if Mercedes wants to challenge the likes of Red Bull and Ferrari.

The Austrian told Channel 4, “They need to find their relationship on track because they haven’t had close racing between themselves.”

He cited the race at Zandvoort as the prime example of why he feels they need to sort stuff out. “I said [to them] after Zandvoort that, for my feeling, it was a little bit too close. It could have gone wrong, but they know. They are experts.”

Wolff, however, contextualized his statements. “How I would describe the relationship is with respect – the respect of the rookie that acknowledges his teammate is the greatest driver of all time, with Michael [Schumacher].”
